Kicking Off the Season
All Snipers are invited to join the fleet on Saturday April 5th to kick the season off. We will be weighing boats, holding tuning and sailing clinics and doing a bit of informal sailing (conditions permitting). With the Spring Series beginning the following week this is a great time to get your boat on the dock as there will be “extra hands” available to help.
Boat weighing takes volunteers, and the more fleet members who show up, the easier it goes! Please plan on joining us on the dock on April 5th.
This invitation
includes all Snipe crews as well.
Tuesday Evening Series
As you can see from the dates on the schedule the Tuesday Series begins in a few short months. You can take advantage of a discount by going online and purchasing the entire series from CYC. The entire season cost $250. Each series individually cost $65.
By signing up for the entire year now you will increase your motivation and commitment to Snipe sailing, and help CYC at the same time.
Snipe Woman’s Nationals
Plans are well under way for the Woman’s Snipe Nationals schedule for May 9-11. Please contact Kirk Smith if you would like to help in any way. If you are a woman (or know other women) who are interested in participating please let either myself or Kirk know.

Fleet Sail Purchase
It’s time to buy sails for the season. I am putting together a fleet purchase which gets us a discount. For 3-5 suits of sails we save 10%. For more than 5 suits we can get 15% off. The cost of a new suit from Quantum is $1280, mains are $815 and jibs are $465.
To date 3 individuals have committed to buying new sails (Colligan, Smith, and Fry) which creates a 10% discount for others who may want to participate. If 3 more fleet members join in we all save 15%. Not an insignificant amount of money!
